Knowing that a Jeep build is never really “finished”, Rubicon Express has engineered all of its Short Arm suspension systems
with an upgrade path in mind. This was the basis behind the development of the
first Jeep Long Arm suspension system. This allows starting out moderately and
then upgrading as desired.
The Rubicon
Express Extreme-Duty Long Arm System was the first radius long arm suspension
available for the Jeep Wrangler JK. This system has been engineered to work
WITH your Jeep’s Electronic Stability Controls and Rubicon edition electronic
sway bar WITHOUT compromising safety. Featuring Rubicon Express’ world-class
chromoly Radius Long Arms, the geometry has been meticulously designed to keep
pinion and driveshaft angles in phase, while eliminating suspension jacking and
unwanted suspension squat. The organization uses 2" x .250 wall chromoly
tubing for its lower control arms for serious off- road use. The Extreme-Duty
Long Arm system coupled with properly valved Rubicon Express shocks allows the
JK Wrangler to transmit throttle input to the wheels over varied terrain,
providing sure-footed traction and positive suspension feedback. The result is
superior on road handling and unrivaled off-road performance, without the need
to disable factory safety features. The 3.5” suspension will allow the use of
35” tires. The 4.5” suspension will allow the use of 37” tires. Driveline
modifications will be required.
The Rubicon
Express Extreme-Duty suspension is the system of choice if its customers desire
a substantial increase in ground and tire clearance for their vehicle, as well
as greatly increased suspension flexibility. This system features Rubicon Express
Extreme-Duty leaf springs with military wrap at one end, which are unmatched
for durability, flexibility and ride quality. Greaseable shackles, stainless
steel brake lines, sway bar disconnects, U-bolts, main eye bushings and much
more are included on the Extreme-Duty systems. This is the most complete kit to
be found on the market.
